Borgo Giorgione, book your fascinating holiday in one of our villas in Umbria and nearby Tuscany! Live delightful experiences in a widespread village, ideal base to visit the entire region and to reach many famous destinations in Tuscany, in the stunning area called Val d’Orcia. San Casciano dei Bagni is one of the top highlights of this zone, a captivating trip every time of year, worldwide renowned for its spas and hot springs, for the Christmas’ markets and for the Cinta Senese’s festival.
Just 90 km far from Siena and less than 30 from our relais in Umbria (about 40 minutes by car), this little city can offer 42 thermal springs with an average temperature of forty degrees and a total flow of about 5.5 million liters of water per day. A natural heritage celebrated from the ages of the Etruscans and Romans. The foundation of the town, as a matter of fact, probably occurred under the Etruscan Lucumonia of Chiusi. Among the regular clients of the spa town in Roman times we can find the Emperor Octavianus Augustus! Have you ever been immersed in a bath already used by the emperors thousands years ago?
An incredible experience in summer (despite the heat of August) as in winter (the thermal baths are open during all the seasons, without exception). Reserve now your total wellness and detoxing journey: you will stay in a resort composed of three villas (in Umbria, near Tuscany) with private pool, full of modern comforts exalted by the ancestral atmosphere, a short distance from spas renowned throughout Europe since ancient times.
Nearby San Casciano dei Bagni you can also enjoy many traditional restaurants, stables with riding school, many hiking trails (to explore on foot or on horseback), some castles (for example the Castle of Fighine) and a fabulous golf course, excellent to challenge your friends in an outdoor sport.
The medieval historic center is pleasant and surprising, share with your family some charming discovery such as the pagan temples (4th century BC) dedicated to the goddess of health Igea. From the main square you can see in a single glance a breathtaking view of the Tuscan lands and also a glimpse of the Lazio.
